OVERVIEW
This book offers a unique glimpse into three inaccessible vaults in Svalbard: the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, the Nordic Gene Bank's ‘Frøyhall’ in Coal Mine 3, and the Arctic World Archive. These archives, hidden deep within the Arctic mountains, are dedicated to protecting food biodiversity and human heritage, with the promise to remain intact for hundreds of years.
In FROZEN HERITAGE we take you behind the scenes of the world’s most extreme and least accessible repositories. We discuss the increasing risks of losing biodiversity in food crops and cultural heritage, and how the collection and storage of seeds and heritage can help us prepare for unforeseen threats.
This trilingual book aims not only to provide a rare glimpse into these inaccessible vaults but also to raise awareness about biodiversity loss and endangered human heritage.

The hardcover is clad in white suede, embossed with a deep impression for the title, and finished with a black headband. The book is finished and trimmed in a "stair-step" format.
